John O'Groats to Lands End Challenge

Our chosen charity for the year ending 2010 is Reach – The association for Children with Upper Limb Deficiency.

Each year, babies are born in the UK missing part of one or both arms and hands. Added to these are a small number of children who lose limbs or parts of limbs due to traumatic incidents or necessary surgery. For many of the families of these children it is the first time that they will have come across such a disability.

'Reach' aims to provide the affected families with the opportunity to get together, share experiences and information about what to do (or not to do) and where to go for advice regarding treatment and to help them realise that they are not alone.

Our major fundraising event for this year, is to organise a bike ride from John O’Groats to Lands End starting on Saturday 24th July.

The three participants will be Andrew Rowson-Brown, Bill Ward and Ryan Jackson who hope to complete the 900 mile ride in 2 weeks.

Individuals may donate through Virgin Money Giving, a not for Profit organisation that will claim (where the donor is eligible) Gift Aid on our behalf by clicking here:
